Terms of Use and Sale

These terms apply to the MapToNap website and web app (maptonap.com). MapToNap is run by an independent developer based in Milan, Italy (contact: [email protected]). The iPhone app has its own terms.

1. What you can buy

• Pro, 30 days and Max, 30 days: one-time payments. A pass ends after 30 days and does not renew automatically. We e-mail a reminder 3 days before it ends.
• Lifetime: a one-time payment for permanent Max access to the features available in the web app.
• Pro to Max upgrade: pays the difference. The pass keeps its original end date.

The price that applies is the one shown in the Stripe checkout when you pay. Licences bought before 30 September 2026 remain permanent.

2. Delivery and the right of withdrawal

Your licence code is shown and e-mailed right after payment. By paying, you ask us to start immediately. Under EU consumer law, the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content ends once the licence code has been issued. Your legal rights still apply if the service does not work as described. If something is wrong, write to us and we will look at every case.

3. Your licence

• A licence is personal and is active on one device at a time. You can move it to another device with your licence code.
• Do not share, publish or resell licence codes. Codes that are shared or used abusively may be suspended.
• Fair use: to keep the service fast and affordable, each licence can start up to 40 generations per day on Max and 20 per day on Pro. Limits reset at midnight UTC. We also apply short-term rate limits.
• Automated access, scraping, bulk extraction of map data, and attempts to bypass licence checks, limits or security are not allowed.

4. Invitations

Each paying user gets an invitation code. A friend who buys with it pays 20% less. The inviter gets 7 more days on an active pass; Lifetime members instead receive a 7-day Max pass to give away. Self-referrals do not count. Rewards obtained through fake or duplicate purchases can be withdrawn.

5. Map data and your drawings

• Base maps come from OpenFreeMap (© OpenMapTiles).
• Climate data comes from NASA POWER. Elevation comes from Terrain Tiles (AWS Open Data; SRTM, USGS, EU-DEM).
• Your drawings are yours: you may use them in coursework, portfolios, competitions and publications, commercially or not. When you publish them, keep the attribution placed on the drawing, or credit "© OpenStreetMap contributors" yourself.
• If you import data, for example from Tianditu, you are responsible for having the right to use it.

6. Accuracy

Open map data is made by volunteers and can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Climate, terrain, sound and accessibility diagrams are models, not measurements. Do not rely on MapToNap for construction, legal boundaries, planning submissions or any decision where an error would cause harm. Check against official sources.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep MapToNap available but cannot guarantee it is uninterrupted, and third-party map services may be slow or unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. The version in force when you buy applies to that purchase. Italian law applies, without removing the protection given to consumers by the law of their country of residence. Contact: [email protected].
